Mayette Magie Moderne has had these ESP Cards specially made for you by The US Playing Card Company, the manufacturers of Bicycle cards.

The Bicycle brand cards have the classic blue Rider backs, and on their faces they have the five ESP (Extra Sensory Perception) symbols: Circle, Cross, Waves, Square, and Star.

Our pack of ESP Cards are made up in the following way: there are five identical series of five cards bearing the ESP symbols, as previously described, making 25 cards in all.

But the icing on the cake is that our pack of ESP Cards are marked on the back; there are small, discreet markings on the Bicycle classic blue Rider backside of the cards. The secret mark is equally well designed for use by both right-handed and left-handed magicians, and will allow you to know the card's identity even when the cards are slightly fanned!

These cards were first created by Dr. Karl Zener (sometimes referred to as Zener Cards), and they have been used by Dr. J.B. Rhine of the parapsychology department of Duke University in the United States for research into Paranormal Phenomena's.

These cards are largely used to measure the individual's degree of parapsychological potential. The American Army was very interested in Dr. Rhine's researches. The subject has also been a great source of inspiration in general (for example look at "Fury", the excellent Brian De Palma movie, with Kirk Douglas and Amy Irving).

As far as we are concerned, ESP cards have been, and still are, a great source of inspiration to the magical arts.
