An entertaining demonstration of thought-reading! The routine was featured in the DVD "A FEW GOOD CARDS" and we had many requests to produce it as a single packet trick.

The presentation is by Karl Fulves. You start, "I've got here four Aces (or any other four-of-a-kind) and in a moment I'll have you name any Ace. Whatever Ace you name, that Ace will have a different color back from the other Aces. Here's how it works." You show the faces of the four Aces. Then flip the packet face down and counts the cards, showing four red-backed cards. "If you name the AS I'd change that Ace to a different color back." You count the cards from hand to hand. The AS is now blue-backed. "Of course you might just as well name the other black Ace." The cards are counted from hand to hand again. Now the AS and the AC are blue-backed. "Just to be on the safe side, I'd better cover myself for the AH as well." You count the cards from hand to hand. Now the black Aces plus the AH are blue-backed. "Why stop now?" The cards are counted and now all four Aces are blue-backed. The packet is flipped face up and the cards spread to show the faces of the four Aces. "I can't go wrong now; name any Ace." The spectator names, say, the AD. You openly deal the AD on the table. "The other three Aces are all blue-backed." The three remaining Aces are turned over and shown to be blue-backed. "And your card, the only red-backed Ace." The AD is turned over by the spectator to show it is red-backed.

Complete with all the cards.
